The DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga GmbH organises and merchandises professional football in Germany. The company schedules the 612 seasonal matches of the first and second Bundesliga, as well as the relegation matches (qualification matches over advancement).

Further tasks include the licensing of the 36 professional clubs, the promotion of the Bundesliga brand plus the development and marketing of products. The fully owned subsidiary DFL Sports Enterprises is in charge of merchandising the national and international broadcasting rights in television, radio and the Internet. DFL Sports Enterprises also markets the brand licenses as well as their own division platforms such as Bundesliga.de.
